Thunderhill got more rain last week which was really good for the recently planted food plots. The food plots are near the deer blinds. It is going to be a really good year for hunting!
Jimmy Davenport has been invited to make a presentation during a Seminar sponsored by the YO Ranch. He will discuss the Thunderhill Ranch deer breeding operation and the state-of the-art barn facilities. The seminar will be held in early October. Also attending are Brad and Chad Barington as well as Mary Davenport.
After months of dust and heat, Thunderhill Ranch finally received about 4 inches of rain. How exciting to see washed out puddled roads. The owners of Thunderhill Ranch donated a trophy deer hunt to the Astro Wives Charity Gala which benefits the Houston Area Women’s Center. The hunt was purchased by Astro pitcher Doug Brocail.
A tiny doe fawn slipped out of the fence within a day of being born. She had not been tagged so we didn’t know which pen in which she belonged. Three pens of Mama does acted like she belonged there. It was decided that she would be taken to the barn to be bottle fed. [...]
